Volleyball Lands Two Junior College Transfers for 2008 Season

Stony Brook's volleyball team has signed two junior college transfers from Arizona for the upcoming 2008 season, said head coach Deb Matejka-Deslauriers Thursday. Lisa Doremus and Michelle Burrola will join the Seawolves after playing last season with the Phoenix College Bears. [+]

Jackie Ahlers Named AVCA Honorable Mention All-America

Senior outside hitter Jackie Ahlers (Stony Point, N.Y.) has earned American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Honorable Mention All-America honors, the organization announced on Wednesday. Senior outside hitter Jackie Ahlers (Stony Point, N.Y.) has earned American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Northeast Region team honors, the organization announced on Wednesday.
